The Bay County Chamber of Commerce applauds the Bay County Commission, all of our municipalities, the Bay County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Mark Bowen and his team for quietly and efficiently handling the oil spill issue. The EOC recognizes the severity of this and has had a plan in place for over ten years. The community must know that this is not a competition between Florida counties, but that we are all in this together. Bringing negative media to our area does not benefit anyone, especially our local economy. Bay County is OPEN FOR BUSINESS and we encourage you to spread that word. We are in good hands.  Your Chambers and TDC have an open line of communication and a place at the table. Be assured that when there is developing news, we will share that information immediately.
